Meaning and Value:
The Necklace in this story is a symbol of human nature──about vanity and greedy.
The woman is not satisfied with her life because she was distressed at the poverty.

She was quite beautiful but she married a formal husband, who wasn't rich at all.
One day, her husband gave her an invitation to a grand party.
For made the woman delighted, her husband spent almost all his money on her pretty gown.

However, an immoderate desire throbbed her heart, she borrowed a necklace from her friend.
Unfortunately, the woman lost the necklace and started her terrible life.

In the end, till lent back the necklace to her friend, she knew the necklace didn't as expansive as she thought.
Everybody wants to have a good life, but not everyone can get so that we have to find and enjoy our own lifestyle.
Sometimes we don't really need something, just want what others have. If you live in a forest, do not connect with the people who live in cities, you won't know too much about the high-tech products, and you won't care about when is the next new iPhone coming out.
We should accept the fact that life is not fair, though it's never easy being content.
Last but not least, the story tells us to be honest, or else, we may get into another trouble──a paste diamond necklace is not worth sacrificing one's life.
The woman's complaint: As the woman's husband gave her the invitation, she complained about she didn't have any high-quality clothes to wear.
Later, she complained about she didn't have a single ornament to put on.
